To be fair, jap rice is miles away than the shitty thai or indian rice you can buy at the store, that's the one thing those yellow jews got right, it's just a shame it's such a hassle to prepare, but some fucking kosihikari from uonuma that's perfectly prepared, and slightly browned/burnt on the bottom is fucking godly on its own, you don't even need salt.
Of course the stupid japs all use their dumbshit rice cookers instead of using a cooking pot.

Not falling for it. Your pot has many uses, including rice. Your rice cooker has meme uses, and you'll only use it for rice, won't stack with your other pots/pans in your cupboard when not in use, and costs vastly more than a god damn pot and lid.

For me, it's simple:
1) cooker with a pressurized locking lid makes objectively better rice than a pot
2) cooker frees up much-needed hob space
3) I don't have to worry about the pot boiling over or when to turn the heat off leaving me free to concentrate on the rest of what I'm cooking.
