I've taken the sauce pill /ck/. Store bought shit can no longer do it for me.

Brother brought home this hot sauce made by literal autists at his school. It has a scotch bonnet base and it has been the best sauce I've ever had.

The heat is perfect. Packs a punch at first but simmers down as you get used to it. It adds a good flavour on it's own and doesn't over power when added to other things. And best of all it doesn't make me shit.

But they won't give up the secret formula. So /ck/ how do I replicate this?

Does no one make their own sauce?

We do, but we're not the literal autists at your brother's school. So until they get on /ck/ you're basically fucked, aren't you?

They're autists. I'm sure you can bribe one with a model train or something.

Yeah pretty much, but I was hoping for something similar I guess. Find and try different styles until I get closest to what they made.

>>10569546
We've tried. They still won't give it up.

Well, lacking those specific autists, you could always ask the autists in the fermentation station generals that still come up occasionally. A quick trawl on warosu brings up this one

from March, with somebody making a hot sauce the most basic way imaginable. Although they have fancier weights than you'd have (you'd use a plate with a couple of sealed glass jars of water on top)

look up lacto-fermentation for hot sauce. or just watch the video where brad does it.

Speaking of hot sauce, if you like Mexican-style (some citrus, a little cinnamon,) snag a bottle of this stuff. A lot like Valentina black label, but a little hotter. Very nice flavor. Very cheap, too.

As expected, it's a meme obsessed /r9k/ autist. Must have been quite hard, posting something other than a frog.
Now back to your containment board

There is nothing in this world worse than falling in love with a hot sauce and having it be discontinued. Nothing. I'd rather have a child die.

For me, it's the 'vark.

I just throw some dragon cayennes with 1-2 habaneros and cloves of garlic with a dash of salt in a jar filled with water for a month or two then blend it up and add some sugar to help it keep longer.

There are more complicated ways to make sauces but I'm lazy so I like to get stick peppers in a jar and forget about it for two months.
