It's a new place that they've seen on TV and in movies a lot, so it's easy to hype people into thinking it's a "must-experience" type a fast food.

For example, I had seen taco bell ads for like 10 years before a single one opened in my country. I didn't go, but there was a queue around the block just like in your pic on the opening day.
