I've got one. I'm picky about appliances and I am very impressed with it. Works great. The broiler is extemely powerful and also very even. Convection mode is a must-have. It's just damn good. Then again, it ought to be given its price.

I'm always conflicted about the Panasonic infareds. On the one hand the basic technology is great. OTOH they always fail hard with respect to their other features. They tend to be very small. No standard heating mode. No convection.

Speaking of convection ovens, I managed to score a Sharp R-8000G used for a couple hundred bucks. That thing is AMAZING. 2700 watt convection + 1000 watt commercial microwave.

Why don't americans have proper full sized ovens built in to their kitchens?

not enough room for all the "ice boxes" full of burgers and ice cream.

they were planning to correct these things with their next model, but instead focused on a $500 coutnertop full oven like the retards they are.

What do you guys normally do with them? I use mine most of the time for toast and roast chicken and potatoes (separately).

toast, small side dishes (potato wedges, brussels sprouts, etc.), reheating leftovers.. pizza, baked stuff, etc. or i'll use it to bake something if i'm cooking for one.

I do, it takes much longer to heat up and more electricity. My toaster oven plugs into a regular outlet, heats in a couple minutes, and I almost never have to make anything that requires a full size space.

You can spatchcock an entire chicken in one. Use Jacques Pepin's technique.

Everyone has a fucking oven in their stove. You don't use it because it's a 3000watt time and energy wasting shitbox.

I live in a hot state, I'm considering getting something like this and having it outside, because running the regular oven costs money for the electricity and then it uses more electricity for the AC to remove the heat it created. Plus it would be nice if something burned, to have that smell outside

How disgusting is the inside after that?
