1) pat steak dry so the marinade doesn't burn.
2) put oil in pan. put pan on heat. Turn heat up to high. Heat pan with oil utill you see the tiniest wisp of smoke.
3) put steak in pan. Adjust heat so that you hear a constant sizzle (think: frying bacon sound) but there is no smoke. Smoke = too hot. No sizzle = not hot enough.
4) after about 2 minutes flip the steak and sear the 2nd side.
5) the steaks are probably done at this point (they're pretty thin), but if you want them done more, lower the heat and keep cooking.

Ziploc is common for marinades.
It's not clear what cut it is but the marbling looks like crap. Those are not good steaks.

Those look like london broil.
How thick are they when spread out?
If under 1 inch, cook them at 200F for 15 minutes, then sear on both sides them in a ripping hot pan with some butter.

If over 1 inch, 250F for 15 minutes, and sear.

You want an internal temp of 110-115F in the steak before you sear it.

Next, get some steamed veggies, top with garlic butter and fresh pepper.

Bake a small potato for each person and top with butter, salt, pepper, sour creme, and chives.

This is a very simple easy meal.

I will help you cook. Do you plan on giving your parents a steak each, or do you have some other stuff? How much more money do you have and/or what else do you have available? How much time do you have?
