How is a steak cooked in your country /ck/? I'll start
>Salt and pepper on the steak
>Oil and butter in the searing hot pan
>Steak in
>Sear both sides
>Butter, garlic, rosemary, thyme in
>Deglaze and shallot sauce if you're not lazy, beurre maître d'h if you are

Defrost on kitchen counter in plastic wrap for 4 hours
Microwave on high for 8 minutes
Add ketchup and pre-ground black pepper
Hit up the McDonald's drive through immediately after because you're still hungry and to get away from the kids

Dubs says you can't guess which country I'm in

When I cook a steak? Generally the way you described, although I usually forgo the sauce.

When I visit my folks? Cooked to inedible, and no salt, because my dad is convinced it's salt fucking up his blood pressure and not the case of beer he drinks nightly.

Or it could be all that charcoal from all that incinerated steak he eats. I bet he drowns it in ketchup as well to make it taste less burnt.
