Most things can be made cheap and easy. What do you like? What cookware do you have to work with?

I just buy some cheap beef, saute it in a saucepan with some olive oil, and throw some vegetables (carrot, onion, and pepper most of the time)

After that, you can either just eat it as cho suey, or instead you add water with broth, and make a stew with it. I add some beans as a filler, or rice. You can even use maccaroni as fillers. After that you get a very hearty meal. I like to add green beens and some pumpkin sliced in small cubes or grated, and tomato sauce too. I make a lot of it and leave it in the refrigerator so I do not have to cook the next day

The good thing with stews is that you can make them with absolutely anything you want

standard recipe for posts like this

http://www.grouprecipes.com/73215/arroz-de-tomate-e-feijao---rice-with-tomato-and-beans.html

I use only half as much rice and add some thinly sliced pork belly and hot paprika. And maybe some tomato paste if your tomatoes are too watery and bland.

Stir fry. If you’re a picky eater it’s easy to mess up though. Normal people will enjoy shitty stir frys

Actually:

>spatula
>plate, cup, fork, spoon, knife
>big sharp knife
>medium bowl

Everything else is just useless materialism. And after reading "garlic press" I seriously hope this is a meme.

thats a good idea actually. I havent made mashed potatoes before, is it literally just mashed potatoes? I think my mum would add mustard usually.

Also what spices are good for flavouring beef?

>> No.10482256

Buy a bag of potatoes and make some cottage fries. Chop them into 1/4th of and inch slices. Line pan with foil. Oil it a little. Bake at 400 for 15 minutes, flip, bake for another 15. Repeat until golden brown

>You don't fucking press garlic you fucking fuck brainlet
Squashing the garlic by pressing it does make the aroma and flavour more intense, just like turning it into a paste with the flat of a knife does. Unless you are using at least a dozen cloves or so cleaning that thing is not worth the effort though.

Both of these assume that you have access to a kitchen 24/7 but when you are renting with 5 other people you can only use the kitchen for an hour at most at some random time during the day and the oven, well that's also a problem.

use different spices, then. do you buy exactly the brand shown in recipes?
