Baseball is about chillaxing and chowing down on food and drink. The Texas Rangers have a unique food offering called the Dilly Dog. It is a hollowed out pickle with a hot dog inserted inside and covered in fried cornmeal batter.

8 days worth of your RDA of sodium in one dilly dog

I'm trying to imagine what a full pickle would taste like when hot and I dont think I would like it. A dill pickle tastes good as pallate cleanser with its cool crispy texture and sour taste. I always prefer them on the side instead of in my sandwich or burger. Cooking it and eating it hot feels like it would make them soggy and limp while changing the taste to an unpleasant degree.

Drink more water to fix it lol

Somehow, it seems unpleasant, even though I love each individual component

It's probably similar to a fried pickle.

it really doesn't look good. like it would taste like an extra salty pickle with unattached batter sliding all over the place.

I've eaten/made tons of these.
The salt content is so bad that I've felt my feet swell up in my shoes from water retention, but I'm thin enough that a gallon of water turns the salt into crispy flakes on my clothes after sweating it out under the Texas sun.

Too much sodium is fucking bad for you, and this shit has it. But it's also mmmfucging delishuss

It's very easy to make.
Take a giant dill pickle and use an apple coring tool to punch a hole through the center, insert skinny dick dog and batter up! Best if you pat the pickle dry before dipping in cornmeal batter.
Remember to pat your pickles anons
