unironically. the portions are too small and the food too doughy at the local late-night arab/persian food places. pizza is cheaper and more filling and doesnt taste like im eating bread crumbs out of a piece of bread dipped in "garlic sauce" that's just tasteless white foam

yeah but it's not good drunk food imo. too rich. you're liable to throw it back up since there's so much fat and salt and oil but nothing much to really soak it up. pizza and doner are greasy too, but they're not literally covered in gravy, man. poutine is perfect while drinking, but it's a poor choice for a bedtime snack to quell your comedown tummy ache.

For quebecois end-of-night food, I would recommend a steamie and fries instead. Fluffy bread, crisp fries, a shitty hot dog, but topped with nice refreshing coleslaw. Enjoyable to eat and shouldn't mess with your already upset stomach.
