as far as the trio of chicken-centric fast food restaurants that actually matter (i.e. bojangles, popeyes, and church's) it's the worst. but it's also better than all the rest of them that don't matter, so that's a plus.

Church's chicken's pieces are salty and yellowy greasy, yet tasteless. Their other menu items are great however, their Milanese chicken breast is great, their new fries shit on KFC shitty potatoes. Their honey biscuits are exquisite and their chicken strips, while down right inferior to KFC's, are cheap and comw with 5 or 6, instead of only 3 like KFC.

I haven't had KFC in about 8 years and it was already near the bottom of the hill. I figured they all closed down because all 4 in my area have. I remember a time when my parents would stop and pick up a bucket for the family on a Friday night. Those nights have since ceased to exist. But honestly it's for the better, kfc is garbage food.

I work at a Church's, and there is a Popeyes and KFC within fucking half a mile of each other. My brother and I did a little experiment because of this.
Generally KFC has the greater amount of choice and value on their menu, but expect to get what you pay for. Soggy beading and veiny greasy slightly undercooked chicken, alright sides and expected drinks. My family never did KFC on principal due to how fucking gross their product is.
Now Popeyes is what I grew up on, so I have a bit of a bias. Their biscuits are top tier, the fries are the best imo, and the spices and batter they use on their chicken has that spicy tangy unique flavor. If you want quality this is where you'll find it, but you're not going to find it cheap.
Now I can answer any and all church's related questions, especially since I have to be going to work soon. Imo it's alright. My dad used to say church's was the best of all the chains, but that was about 15 years ago and he's not alive to change his mind anymore. Decent good quality chicken at decent to expensive prices, depending if you get something on special or with a coupon. Most everything is fresh and crispy if we can help it. Idk. I'm gonna have some Popeyes cause it's been a while.
