God tier sauce coming through

>> No.10462697

FYI in 2013 a University of Nevada, Las Vegas report found that brand along with many other Mexican import hot sauces to be contaminated with lead.

It's very possible they've addressed the issues and it's no longer a problem, but I haven't found any more recent test results or follow-up of any kind. The company statements from 2013 link to a document that purports to be their own internal testing results, but the links are now broken.

I'm planning on getting my bottles tested, and will post the results on ck when I do.

Here's the 2013 report (DOI 10.1080/03601234.2013.774226): https://www.semanticscholar.org/paper/An-evaluation-of-lead-concentrations-in-imported-Ritchie-Gerstenberger/372d6f70b3c0b3960e569fcd5f279be66f3dd64c

Don’t buy produce from Mexico either. Most are grown with untreated human waste used as fertilizer and contaminated with heavy metals, pesticides/herbicides.
