Here’s my dinner I made tonight. Would this be considered a healthy meal? I’m going easy on the butter and cheese for the baked potato

>> No.10457698

Healthy-ish, yeah. It's a balanced meal, but you shouldn't have red meat more than twice a week.

Sprouts are good, potatoes too, just don't overdo the dairy. Small potatoes with some olive oil, salt, and rosemary are fantastic roasted.

Anything more than several milligrams of aluminium is far too much to eat in a day

Cook like this once a week.

If you're baking fish, roasting vegetables or preparing a piece of meat for dinner tonight, chances are that you'll wrap your food in aluminium foil. What you may not realise is that some of the foil will leach into your meal

So.. what is the solution to the aluminum question?

>> No.10458441

>>10458184
Yeah, that's why the packaging never says "safe for cooking in" because technically it's not designed for that. People just assume it is and do it anyway.

That it apparently leaks into food mr trips. Many recipes call for foil

The answer is yes. Now you just have to decide if you think consuming aluminum is bad for you, which the science is still out on.

It's s great start, OP. Protein, starch, veggies. Good balance. If recommend having two veggie sides for variety in nutrients. Like seasoned and seared sweet potato with those Brussels sprouts. Or asparagus and cherry tomatoes. Corn and snap peas. Onions and bell peppers. It helps flesh out the meal and make it more satisfying. Experiment with some homemade sauces - that meat looks a little plain. A balsamic reduction would be tasty af with that and the sprouts imo

I eat red meat, in moderation, about 4x a week. I wonder if this is more unhealthy then if I only ate it 2x a week.
