Hi /ck/ I've recently moved into what is basically a tiny dorm room for work and will be here at least a year. I love cooking and eating but the room has no kitchen. What am I to do?
I was thinking about getting a sandwich press and maybe a kettle but dunno. Can't disengage the fire alarm either, so any smoke would get me a huge fine.
What do you think would be the most useful stand alone cooking implement I could get?
Also getting a small fridge.

I've been eating subway for every meal and can't keep it up...

Get a single electric burner a pot and a sous vide

Same situation as you
I have a kettle, and i mostly eat instant noodles with added veggies (garlic, capsicum, onion, etc). It makes up a decent meal, miles better than what my student hostel provides
Electric kettles are great, if you want to make do in the absolute bare minimum. If you want anything more, an induction cooktop is the best, no flames, no mess

A rice cooker. Cooks basic meals and you only have to worry about the steam.
