In addition, when one raises the minimum wage that employees are paid, pretty much everything else goes up in price too. It's not like every worker will make 15$/hour and the prices of other things won't go up. They'd just be in the exact same position they're in now, but with more inflation.

Also fast food positions are pretty much universally low skilled positions. No sense in paying someone a ton when someone else is ready and willing to do the job for cheaper.

Honestly fast food would be just as shitty. Fast food workers should be ashamed of themselves for producing something as thoughtlessly as possible with as little benefit as possible to the world around them. If MCD's disappeared tomorrow indonesian rainforest deforestation would stop, most heart problems would stop, market shares in actual food would go up, and fast food workers would be homeless or selected out of the gene pool as they should be. Also everything else from beef to potatoes would likely be cheaper without a super pact of fast shit gobbling it all up just to throw it away at the end of the shift.

No. People work in fast food because they don’t want responsibility of a real job. The service would actually be worse because they would have fewer staff and many of them would work part time.

There is a common misconception that a fast food restaurant will lose money or be forced to raise prices. This isn’t true. They will just employ fewer people, put their staff on part time so they don’t have to offer benefits, and work their employees even harder. Very few people will make more money when the minimum wage is increased. Most people on minimum wage will make less.
