The amount of sugar in these gummie vitamins outweighs the health benefits and spikes your blood insulin levels. You guys are going to have clogged arteries and heart disease within months if you continue to use these.

>4g of sugar per day will kill you

>> No.10393378

I was at the store looking for vitamins a few months ago and the sugary gummy variety are pretty much all there is anymore.

Took me almost 10 minutes to find the single bottle of normal pill form vitamins.

I wonder if this is an American thing or if everyone else is this childlike.

There's a quarter-teaspoon of sugar twice a day in my brand. If that kills you then you need to die.

Is there any real benefit to taking a MV? I mean, most MV's have 60-100% of your daily vitamin intakes, and it's not like you're going to be skipping meals all day long (usually). So you're probably getting more like 100-200% of your daily intake, right? Depending on your diet and what/when you eat/etc.

But I've been taking them for years, all kinds and brands, and I never really noticed any benefits or negatives in taking them. Is it all a meme? Or is it more like taking them has benefits that aren't immediately or perceptible? I ran out of MVs about 3months ago and haven't bought any yet again. Should I?

Hard to say. The symptoms of running deficit on vitamins can take a long time to present themselves, because your body can make do for a long time. And most people do end up failing to keep up with some nutrient or another, unless they're obsessively micromanaging their meals. But then there's a good chance vitamins are not particularly bioavailable in pill form anyway. So I dunno.

>better nutrition
Not when I checked last month. The nutrients provided are different and tablets lack in several fields. Their gummies rate higher in vitamin A (and without the 14% through beta-carotene), higher in Vitamin C, but lower in vitamin D (still 100% of RDA though), higher in vitamin E, higher in vitamin B-6, contains biotin unlike pills, etc. The pills do contain higher levels of a few things, but the gummies are better overall.
