anything that isn't from a pizza chain like pizzahut, lil C, papa J, domino, etc and is done locally or handmade fresh, is real pizza.
i grew up in a city so i had tons of options, basically easier to just distinguish it as real pizza, especially since they look completely different.

local pizzerias i went to did not charge 18 dollars to us for a pie. the pizzas i bought large cost 12 dollars

where ever you get your pizza is a rip off

I don't know where you live that you think it costs a lot to make a good pizza, but normal prices does not equal low quality ingredients. Also do you degrease your pizza with a tissue or something? It's also far better quality than any fast food chain, and pizza is not fast food unless manufactured as such.

If you honest to god want to know what a low quality ingredient pizza taste like, order from little caesars. Taste fades with every bite.

I grew up in a town with lots of "pizzerias". I even worked at a few. If you don't think your local resturant selling large specialties for 12 bucks isn't using the cheapest ingredients they can buy from Reinhardt, you don't know kitchens.

Yes, pizza made with care and quality ingredients is superior to pizza hut. Are you going to get that for 12 bucks in less than twenty minutes?

You're fucking retarded. One of the restaurants in my restaurant group is a pizzeria and it is by far the cheapest cost wise compared to all of our other restaurants.

We don't source cheap shit either its just that most of the ingredients are super cheap compared to most any other type of restaurant. The variation is pretty minimal so you are only stocking a select amount of things which also brings cost down. It probably has 1/4 of the items the other restaurants do.

Labor is also cheaper because it isn't as skilled. There really is quite a profit off a good sized pizza at well under 18 dollars much more than the margins at any of our other places on the whole.

Use pizza yeast next time, and use plenty, 1 or 2 packets. Also add1/4 teaspoon garlic powder and 1/4 teaspoon onion powder when you first mix the dry ingredients before adding the warm water. Do the no-knead method too. Don't overmix it either, as soon as the water's mixed in STOP. Let it rise for 18-24 hours.
