Pretty sure gummy candies are lightly coated with food-grade mineral oil to prevent them from sticking together and to make them glossy. The sugared gummies will probably stick together a little in hot, humid conditions though. Think I saw it on a TV show a long time ago. Gummies are molded in trays of compressed cornstarch, then jiggled loose and panned with the mineral oil. Yum.
