As a child I was never fed pork, now it makes me sick whenever I try. Can I build up a tolerance to it? Or is it just too late for me to ever enjoy the other white meat?

ps. I'm not a fucking Jew

Sorry, new here, but I never actually ate pork until my teenage years, I was very picky with food when I was younger and the only kind of pork I would touch was bacon. I bet you can build a tolerance.

(ps I used to hate beef until I realized that burgers were cheaper than the chicken tenders at the fast food restaurant I went to)

i was raised in a christian denomination that follows most of the leviticus dietary laws and pork grossed me the fuck out for the longest time and i'm still pretty squeamish about it.
but bacon is pretty good, start there, a nice thin fried pork chop is excellent too
start little i guess

Brine your pork, and your chicken.

And don't overcook it. Not joking. Chicken is more of a hazard than pork and people even overcook that. There's no reason not to have juicy pork.

Also buy some good quality juniper berries to crush with some caraway for a nice crust on your pork or lamb. It's a criminally underused spice and they sell huge aluminum bags of soft fresh berries on Amazon cheap.

Anyways, pork is awesome.

Pork often makes me sick too... because I'm a poorfag who buys it from the sketchy bargain bin.

If you want pork to not make you sick, buy it fresh and cook it properly.
Also, I've never been sickened by bacon, so maybe start with various cured porks, and work your way up to fresh.

Chashao is good but store bought ones are too salty. I like eating it alongside crispy skin pork.
