A reataurant I used to cook at served a whole lobster that we would make into a fried rice for $5 if the customer sent back leftovers. We would make it with any amount of lobster leftover, and a lot of times people would leave most of it. This place was in a super rich/white area so the number of “allergies” people would claim was ridiculous. A couple times the shitty server would forget to specify an allergy until we already made it into rice and it would be too late to do anything about it.

I know the local donut smith. He's a fine guy whos really into cinema, sometimes we go see movies, I drop by when he's working sometimes and shoot the shit with him. As a result of this friendship I have a more or less infinite supply of free fresh donuts at all times. The sad part is that I don't eat donuts very often so it's kinda wasted on me.

there was a seafood place that used to have lobster mondays where they were half off and basically being sold at a loss
and some fat guy with his fat family went and they had eaten something like 25 lobsters when the management asked them to leave
so they sued the restaurant and long story short lobster mondays is a thing of the past

I work for a major casino company in Las Vegas in marketing. I'm constantly swamped by free dinner and lunch offers at places that cost upward of $500 per person.

First world problems, I know, but it's almost becoming a pain in the ass. I'd rather come home and sleep a solid 8 hours than drink Dom Perignon with dinner at Robuchon and force myself into a nightclub until 2 AM on a Wednesday.
