KO sardines in olive oil or Mediterranean
I've been trying kippers lately and I like them. I need to try more brands, but polar are good and affordable

I got these /deenz at store the beech cliff were $0.88 and the bumble bees were $1.98. Both taste the same and looks like they come from the same company. What's the deal?

Kippered herring is better than sardines, it's a natural fact

Red salmon, boiled potatoes, and cottage cheese. Should be a very bland meal but I really like it.

My good sir, we are of a common mind on this.

Pickled herring is also a very worthwhile endeavour

Canned pink salmon. Whatever's cheapest.

Drain one can. Scramble a couple of eggs. Flake it into the eggs. Add whatever spices I have on hand. Mix. Form into four patties. Fry in butter for five minutes each side. Top with tartar sauce. Wa la.

Good stuff there, anon. My uncle used make his own when I was a kid. Get pissed when I'd get into his stash.

I've always got a big jar on hand. It's a great beer snack.

Sometimes if I'm feeling clever, I'll make a dirty martini with gundy in lieu of olives/olive juice. It's surprisingly tasty.

I've never had pickled herring, is there any brand you recommend?

>> No.10195204

I usually get Comeau or Mersey, but I'm not sure if they sell that outside of the maritime provinces.

I bet most specialty grocers'd stock some brand or another elsewhere though.

The best gundy is always going to be your ol' nan's though.
