Mom gives me this toaster for my birthday. Next day decide to make toast. Only want one piece. Have to throw the other piece into the trashcan. Just what were the toaster designers thinking?

You can toast one piece at a time, Millennial.

If you're only making one slice you have to cut it in half first (diagonally) and put one half in each slot.

>> No.10167777

do what I do
just wrap the other piece of toast in sluminum foil and put in freezer

then when you want to eat that, unwrap and put under the broiler for about 1-1/2 minutes per side

bon appetit

Stick a fork in the empty side and hold onto it. Perfect toast and all your problems solved.

Just what was your mom thinking when she decided to keep a cataclysmicly retarded child

OP can save time with your technique by wrapping the bread in foil before toasting it.

Cut it in half. Use a fork to pull it out. I do it all the time

You don't have to worry about that part.

>> No.10169034

Just cut one slice in half.

You can, but you're slowly burning out the elements in the empty slot.

Just put the second toast in the fridge and reheat it the next time you want one
