watcha drinking ?
watcha keeping safe for a good evening ?
watcha brewing ?

also, beer general

got an unexpected sample tasting yesterday when going to the beershop afterwork, a brewery named Piggy brewing was here and showing their stuff, including an excellent strawberry stout they just bottled (the guy said it was going to be in store in march) and a weird beet/blueberry beer that was definitely drinkable, but still pretty way off. he said they were still working on it and planning to insert cocoa in the recipe. will probably buy one for the sake of it when it comes out if not too expensive, but only for the wtf fest it's going to be and not reiterate the experience
bought them an oatmeal imperial stout called Fat Monstruous Pig, didn't drink it yet
I'm drinking this as I post

it's not like I don't enjoy the average 12packs drinking while watching football with friends, but I started doing this at home alone after work and now instead of always buying packs I always end up finishing the evening I bought it after work, I just buy single beers I can enjoy coming home without being tempted to drink others because there are none

Having one of these. A nice flowery ale. Quite hoppy too but not too much.

We took my brother to a small brewery for his bachelor party and they let him brew 30 liters of this himself (we paid them obviously).
10 days later when it came time to can the beer he brought these labels which he made himself. He says it's from Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I'm a few seasons behind on that show so I haven't watched the episode it's from.

I think it's in the 7-7.5% vol. range but I'm going by taste on this. They told us of course but I've forgot.

It seems to be this Central American coffee bean that(according to an article) if brew right it's a very pleasent coffee that feels like an earl grey tea. Was recently in Flanders (northern France) and Ghent and drunk a lot of Trappist beers like pic related. They're high alcohol content but they're meant to be a replacement for wine with a meal. Definitely not session beers. The cuisine is based around quite mature cheeses and fries so these floral beers cut right through all that heaviness.

>really like pale ales/IPA
>don't like anything else
I really want to get into darker ale since it looks so damn tasty but I just can't handle the flavor compared to pale ales which are just perfect for me. Guinness extra stout was probably the most drinkable for me so far.

You are 100% Swedish

I should know, since like 70% of those are Swedish Breweries lol.

To Judge:
Nebuchadnezzar, the third from the top is my fave Imperial IPA. O/O is a fantastic brewery, but man do you pay the price. Mango Fever is good but a bit over hyped. Fucking LEON is 10/10 my fave barnhouse ale oh lawd. Passionfruit < Mango DIPA desu

2/3
Quadra hop is just pricey. Sierra nevada is dank but can be pretty basic. Beerbibliotek is good but overpriced. Really good just not priceworthy. LEON is a beer i've wanted to try but the 50.60 kr pricetag is just LOL

3/3
Mikkeller is sooo overpriced idk
The one next to it idk the name but its good
Brekeriet is good and I've made many of their beers myself
Lagunitas Maximus DIPA is one of my faves

Kegerator makes home-brewing so much easier.
I used to bottle, I did it for years and would dread bottling day.
I brew 2 batches at a time and I can keg them both in around half an hour. Bottling the same amount would take around 4 hours.

true, considering sumatra was a seasonal release. i believe they changed it to being a year-long release, along with backwoods bastard - a beer that i believe deserves more hype than KBS.

I tried Deschutes Black Butte Porter the other day and had the liquid shits a few hours later so I reckon there's lactose in it. Apart from that it was ok but there's better black beer that's cheaper.

Well if it didn't get it before, it sure as hell isn't getting it now. One of my Michigan craft beer groups on facebook won't stop claiming that Backwoods sucks ever since Founders announced it was going to be year round.
