Alfredo sauce is hot, tomato sauce is not. People will typically put red pepper or parmesan cheese on tomato sauce pasta, need I say more? They want to disguise the flavor because they know it's not spectacular. Basically, history will show that tomato sauce pasta was a basic bitch propped up on a pedestal when alfredo was truly the best option.

No I will not. Alfredo is not only my favorite sauce, but also a very important part of my herritage. I'm not going to lambast tomato like this uninformed fucker of an OP, But I'll be damned if I sit by idly while people besmirch it's good name by calling it spicy.
