it's shaped like a brick and after 20 minutes of thawing there's no way i can shape it or do anything with it. i feel like a fucking maroon, it says bake and serve without thawing. what will happen if i let it thaw to room temperature? i've never baked puff pastry before and this box is infuriatingly confusing
>tl;dr i'm to dumb to understand instructions

You're going to fuck up. It's not hard, but there are several steps, several caveats, it can be involved. Look it up on YouTube. As I said, you're going to fuck it up, expect it. (It will probably still be delicious.)

I used 2 boxes of this just the other day. Sit the pastry on the stove while you prepare your ingredients and preheat the stove.

It thaws pretty quick. If you are making a savory pie, precook the pastry between two baking sheets in the oven for 20 minutes to get crispy. It will puff when you cook it the 2nd time with your other ingredients.

OP is retarded, just thaw it in the fridge.
>2. Overnight thaw: for 2 sheets, place entire box in refrigerator overnight. Remove pastry from packaging when ready to use. For 1 sheet, wrap and place in refrigerator overnight. Return wrapped, unused sheet to freezer. Using puff pastry sheets: unfold pastry on lightly floured surface. If there are any cracks in the pastry, sprinkle with water and press together to seal. Roll, shape and bake as directed in recipe. Helpful hints: For more golden brown color, brush top only of unbaked pastry with an egg wash (1 egg beaten with 1 tbsp. water). Bake as directed in recipe. For more helpful hints and recipes. Visit puffpastry.com. Do not bake in microwave or toaster oven. Keep frozen until ready to use.
