I started fasting about 4 days ago. Currently i am doing a protein fast, which basically means I can only consume under 500 calories of high-protein and low fat and low carb diet. So basically like eggs chicken and fish like tuna. I drink water often and green tea because apparently the caffeine can help accelarate fat burn. Also sometimes I go to the gym to weight train but I dont last long.

It has nothing to do with starvation mode it has more to do with the fact that your body will want to go back to a weight you've maintained for some time. You can easily avoid this by eating on maintenance for a good 2-3 months after your cut till your BMR and body adjusts to your new weight.
Good Luck i've done RFL 2.0 which is essentially 170 g protein, sub 15 g fat and carbs with one day during the week of carbing up and I managed to lose 35 lbs in 5 weeks and I only lost a little bit of my strength it was mainly from the bench.
