I've said this myself about ranch dressing. A lot of people that hate ranch dressing have only had bottled garbage or branded crap that comes with their meal at restaurants
homemade with fresh herbs and buttermilk tastes entirely different, it's like comparing Kraft or KC masterpiece bbq sauce to bbq sauce you'd get at a real bbq place
