my cast iron pan leaves black spots in my food.

what do i do, if anything?

Your seasoning is shitty and it is coming off, or you tried simmering stuff in your pan. Scrub out you pan thoroughly with sand or salt, reseason it properly and in the future only use it for frying and baking.

You're going to have to post of pic of the "black spots" if you want a definite answer. Could be searing, burnt seasoning, anything.
