WOW. After growing up in a 100% small town in middle America with parents terrified of foreigners, I was always told that "oriental" food will basically kill me and give me food poisoning. I moved to a big state university and finally took the plunge at trying authentic Japanese food. Got myself 12 pieces of California roll, 6 pieces of Alaska roll, a big bowl of fresh ramen noodles with veggie gyoza on the side, with some ginger and wasabi and DAMN all I can say is Japan has the best cuisine.

While Japanese food is nice, it's hardly the best cuisine. The best cuisine is anything made fresh and simple at home among friends and family. Anything else is merely good.

i was thinking about trying to cook some of "sushi rice" and see if i can make it taste as good

my favorite part of the sushi is the rice taste with shoio and not realy the fish inside of it
