well, they're definitely different flavors and stuff. red bean is a popular snack flavor, and things like shrimp chips. so even though there are candy and trashy snacks, they aren't the same ones as here

>> No.6164241

I don't think it's exaggerated in that they seem like authentic reactions to seeing something unusual. You have to consider that they're being asked to judge it so they're also judging it more than they might do if casually trying it out. I think that if they gave similar but unheard of snacks to Americans, it would basically be the same reaction.

The article is garbage anyway. The video doesn't say anything bad about junk food really. There are those who like the snacks and those who don't (apart from Twizzlers, which are just disliked).

Exactly. Give an American schoolgirl shrimp crackers or a glutinous rice ball filled with red bean paste and you'd get a similar reaction. Hell, give an American schoolgirl a meal of rice, a boiled egg and some kimchi and there's a very good chance she'd burst into tears.

These girls are mostly really hot....namely the one in the white sweater

But, to be fair poptarts are gross I never got how kids enjoyed them...the filling is like sweet toothpaste and the crust is flavorless, I need a gallon of milk to wash it down.

The goldfish they use are just graham cookies...and they all like the rice crispy treat...cause everyone does. I can see how somebody wouldn't like vinegar chips if they never tried them before, that's fair enough...twizzlers...eh, not a fan myself, lowest tier as far as chewy/gummy candy goes in the US. some liked cheezits fine, the warhead reaction is pretty much what the candy intends to do for the uninitiated, What were you trying to get across OP? Not to mention, things like J rock, J pop, and K pop are all direct imitations of popular American music, just in a different language.

The genre of "pop" that Kpop and Jpop groups do is without a doubt an imitation of the sounds of US modern pop, right down to pseudo R&B (American) musical influence and Hip Hop (American) influence in terms of fashion.

The fact that so many books still name the Beatles as "the greatest or most significant or most influential" rock band ever only tells you how far rock music still is from becoming a serious art. Jazz critics have long recognized that the greatest jazz musicians of all times are Duke Ellington and John Coltrane, who were not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times. Classical critics rank the highly controversial Beethoven over classical musicians who were highly popular in courts around Europe. Rock critics are still blinded by commercial success. The Beatles sold more than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore they must have been the greatest. Jazz critics grow up listening to a lot of jazz music of the past, classical critics grow up listening to a lot of classical music of the past. Rock critics are often totally ignorant of the rock music of the past, they barely know the best sellers. No wonder they will think that the Beatles did anything worthy of being saved.

In a sense, the Beatles are emblematic of the status of rock criticism as a whole: too much attention paid to commercial phenomena (be it grunge or U2) and too little to the merits of real musicians. If somebody composes the most divine music but no major label picks him up and sells him around the world, a lot of rock critics will ignore him. If a major label picks up a musician who is as stereotyped as can be but launches her or him worldwide, your average critic will waste rivers of ink on her or him. This is the sad status of rock criticism: rock critics are basically publicists working for major labels, distributors and record stores. They simply highlight what product the music business wants to make money from.

people in general do hate soldiers, and girls around the bases are either sluts (literally) or just trying to get something from you. once in a while we'll go as far as possible form them, and we'll try to look like civilians.

They're cheap, easy to eat, convenient, pakcaged to be eaten pretty much at any time anywhere, and taste pretty good, fill you up and are sweet. Good snack or even a meal if you have to. Haven't had one in a few years, but it's like $1 for a box. If youre at work or something it's just there as a convenient filler.

Live in Korea. Koreans have terrible tastes and can't into cooking. They can't even steep fucking tea.

Don't trust Koreans on tasting anything. All snack foods here are seafood or spicy based as any other flavour will NOT sell. It has to be shrimp/squid/crab or soaked/peppered with chilli powder. No other flavors.
