Sweet potatoes contain about the same amount of carbs by weight. The only difference is they have a bit more sugar and less starch. Sweet potato has a little more fiber and vitamin C which I've read reduces blood sugar spikes as well.

Just eat milk and meat for a month and then your cravings for everything else will be gone and you can get on with your life without having a sugar addiction that's gonna kill you before your time comes.
