Rye and pumpernickel are awesome. There's a restaurant a couple blocks from where I live and if you give them a day's notice will bake a fresh one for you. That stuff is awesome, nice thick slices too.

So when you say rye or pumpernickel sucks then you're talking out of your ass or just haven't had good fresh bread. You'll learn if you try.
