1- kosher salt. My go-to for nearly everything. Only draw back is in my area its a bit expensive.

2 - very course sea salt. I found a 5lb bag in an asian market for practically nothing. Used in applications where the huge crystals are not an issue like soups and pasta water.

3 - smoked sea salt. Rubs, sauces, seafood, anywhere id like to add smokiness without actual smoke.

4 - black and red volcanic salt. Its pretty...used on things like devilled eggs.

You say that, but I've sat in a therapeutic salt room with a friend of mine who has asthma, and it really helps people with lung issues. Salt rooms have been used around the world for a very long time, it's just the US that thinks it's something new and "hipster". Old salt mines are used for this purpose, as are rooms that are built using salt blocks for the walls, and have coarse, sand like salt crystals as the floor. Like an indoor salt beach, per se.
However one salt lamp isn't going to do much for you in that department. You'd need to get a salt diffuser and keep the door to that room closed, or have one in every room.

Basically it makes a very mist of salt in the air, and breathing it in helps open up your lungs, your sinuses, etc. More scientifically, salt emits negative ions, which in tiny amounts don't matter, but imagine being inside a salt mine or room made entirely of salt. All of you fucking shitstains who think life is better with quackery should trade livers with me and see what life is like when the best-working antidepressants, blood pressure CCB medications, and even basic antibiotics are all unavailable to you.

Fortunately, CRISPR/CAS9 means that in five to ten years I will likely be able to engage in self-mutilation of my liver to nuke the everliving shit out of the DNA that codes for the overproduction of certain enzymes. Hell, I could probably even do it today if I want to risk it, but I'm willing to wait a little longer so that the lab-rat geniuses can get the details worked out.

It ain't the Indian designated-shitting-streets mystics who came up with that. Nor was it the ching-chong sukiyaki kung-fu motherfuckers who figured out how to stab needles into people's eyeballs.

Hail science, and hail the capitalism that makes it possible.

what you're essentially doing is banking your future on winning the lottery
you don't know what's going to happen, early investors have a lot of incentive to hype the shit out of untested technology, and oh btw. most of those drug trials that will check for this sort of thing will happen in shitting-street countries where there aren't any regulations to protect people from mad scientists. so you should probably be a little nicer to those people for being guinea pigs.

I stopped playing this game like 2 years ago and I still have nightmares about it on a semi-regular basis.
Just the other night I was struggling to fall asleep after being suddenly hit by the memory of how I lost a placement match the one time I tried to play ranked with a friend.
That game is not good for your mental, physical or financial health and everyone should stay away from it.

whenever I see someone posting something incredibly dumb on leddit and I check their post history, "league of legends" always seems to feature prominently in their interests. I assumed it was a game but beyond that I have no idea what it is. what's special about it?

It's popular, free and not particularly complicated to pick up. Lots of kids play it in their spare time.
The main reason I stopped is the realization that it was at least as stressful as it was fun and a strong feeling that I had "aged out" of the community. I wouldn't be surprised if the average player is between 14-17 years old.
It's just not something an adult that cares about their mental health should bother with, you've never experienced frustration until you've played a MOBA.

Remove 'financial health' from that description and it'd fit DOTA as well (if you don't buy any cosmetics, that is).

I honestly think competitive gaming it one of the worst things you can do to yourself. People shouldn't be putting themselves through that much stress unless there is a war going on.

My mum bought one, it 'removes positive eons [sic] from the air'.
I studied chemistry at college and she still trusted an amazon product description over me when I told her it was bullshit.
Looks nice, though.

When you're 16 years old and full of energy in need of an outlet you could potentially do worse. Past 22 or so you're beginning to seriously push the limits of your sanity. For the most part I agree, when you step back and realize you're investing all of your mental energy into a video game you don't even find fun anymore it's time to stop.

Have you ever considered that the subsidization of Northern Ireland might have something to do with that? I'm not saying that it's nessarily true in this case, but oftentimes it's been found that complete economic independence breeds efficiency in a way that economic codependency doesn't.
