How the fuck are you actually supposed to eat Thai curry? Like, what is the actual protocol? Are you supposed to eat it on top of the rice like a sauce or in the bowl it comes in like a soup? If it's the former then why do so many Thai restaurants bring you like an ice cream scoop of jasmine rice? The ratio is all off, it's like giving you a cereal bowl full of ketchup with your medium french fries. The curry itself seems to thick to be the latter, and the protein/vegetables they include don't seem like a mealworthy amount. It's the best of no worlds and Thailand needs to get it's shit together.

You're supposed to order a bunch of different dishes and share them with the group you're eating with.
You can always order more rice, it's cheap as fuck.

This isn't rocket science, guy.
You take a spoonful of rice, add it to the curry, eat that bit, add more rice, eat some more, and if you need more rice, ask for it. I've never found the curry to rice ratio off, I always end up with around just enough rice for the curry. And I eat Thai food about three times a week. Also, try some other damn dishes besides just curry. You're missing out if you only eat Thai curries.

Sounds like you're just going to a bad restaurant. You don't base an opinion on an entire cuisine from one experience. That's just stupid.

Either you're lying, or you're going to thai restaurants that aren't run by thai people. Why?
>Thai people only use forks and spoons unless they're eating noodles.
>thai curry should never be runny like broth

could be that most of them aren't thai, maybe they are just cheap and throw in milk instead of coconut milk but use coconut oil for frying whatever. i'll pay more attention next time i'll eat thai food

Just mix the rice in vigorously with your spoon and eat it like spicy porridge. You clearly dont care if we know you're uncultured swine, why not let the rest of the restaurant know as well?
