I once attempted to make a grilled cheese sandwhich with knock-off American Cheese slices I got at a dollar store because I was a poor college student and thought it was a steal to get a package for a dollar. Oh what a fool I was.

This isnt even an exxageration or a mockery of American Cheese, American Cheese is usually just cheese mixed with a small portion of milk and whey and then reformed. This stuff is a different form of demon all together.

I've actually eaten it before they had the "Now Melts" stuff. It was 2 for 1 at a local dollar store so I bought 2 bags.

if I had to compare it, I'd say it was closest to a cheddar
I did figure out it melts in the microwave but it is not worth eating.
Most of the time whenever I used the cheese it was out of amazement that it didn't melt. Being dumb I did attempt to make an omelet with it because I thought maybe it was the oven and not the cheese but I got the same result.
