My first job in high school was at a movie theater and when I worked concession, I got all the free fountain soda I wanted as long as there weren't any customers around.

I've tried every combination of fountain sodas and 50/50 Coke-Pepsi was my favorite. Pepsi-Dr. P is a pretty good mix too.

There's no criminal law regarding selling the two on the same fountain. But what >>9654282 is referring to is a civil matter. When you sign with Coke you are signing a contract that you won't also be selling Pepsi (and vice versa). The police couldn't arrest you for selling the two together. But coke or pepsi could sue for breach of contract.

Not to mention it would be hard to do in the first place. Soda fountains are nearly always owned by the distributor and are loaned (or rented) to a restaurant. The restaurant itself has no control over the machine, that's all up to the coke or pepsi distributor.

What you are describing might exist, but it's extremely rare.

I travel on business--all over the US, Canada, and internationally as well. I often visit gas stations & truck stops while I drive around meeting clients. I have only seen a combined fountain once in my entire life. I'm 46. I'd bet good money that single-brand fountains are more common than mixed by a factor of 1000:1.

The discussion and even your own initial point was initially about exclusivity clauses in contracts.

You claiming to come from a family that owns gasstations is only a point, when you talk about the legal background and the supply contracts.

What you are contributing now is the same anecdotal claim, everyone else can make, while you discredit >>9654471 for contributing exactly what you now claim is proof.

If you go up the reply chain long enough, you will notice that his point was "THIS SHIT IS NEGOTIATED PER-FUCKING-LOCATION. I HAVE NEGOTIATED IT.".
Which is obviously an argument based on knowing more of the behind the scenes work of soda supply at a gas station first hand.
By not using this obvious advantage in experience to argue further and instead just saying "go into a gas station and see for yourself", he abandons this point and claims something everyone could easily know or see for themselves. While at the same time discrediting people who said, that they did go into gas stations and looked at the fountains.

And I am by no means trying to backpedal. I stand by every single sentence. And there is no reason to call someone else dipshit.
