My diet growing up was pretty good actually.
The most sugary cereal I had was Kix and I hated egg and cream cheese so I just had wheat bread with peanut butter and banana. I didn't even drink juice or soda. It was either water or on the rare occasion, hot chocolate.
I also thought that marinara sauce was disgusting until I turned 16, and despite being 24 years old now, have yet to have ketchup, mayo, or mustard. I haven't even seen relish or horseradish, but BBQ is good.

Trust me, not eating a sandwich that's been sitting in a bag for four hours, or a tepid Thermos of Spaghetti-Os or something is a godsend. By the middle of high school I stopped enjoying it and just ate some chips or something, but it was nice having a hot meal available when needed.

It's probably why I refuse to eat in the office to this day. Saving money isn't worth it.
