Which fast food place is your favorite to go to for breakfast?

The McDonalds here in Boone, NC is pretty nice with all the old people just chilling and talking with 50s music playing every morning. Sure is comfy.

I use to live just SE of boone in lenoir. and even though I had a job working afternoons I would try to wake up at 10 so I could make it to hardees for a steak egg and cheese biscuit combo

back when mcdicks was doing 2for3.50 I would get the McGriddle and the Southern Style Chicken Biscuit and combine the chicken into the mcgriddle. Really good.

Anyway, Tudor's Biscuit World in WV has the best. It's quick, cheap, and they give you a massive amount of food. This picture really doesn't do it justice. The biscuits are like twice the size of the ones pictures. It's also always staffed by older women who are really nice and friendly.

That's pretty much what it is. I'm not sure why we call them biscuits because they aren't cooked twice.

it's not sweet unless you put sweets (jam, Jelly, honey) on top or in the middle. how much sugar do you put in your scone dough? I bet these biscuit sandwiches you see on here would be real good on a sweet version of a biscuit

That's exactly what it is.

But it can be either savory with meat, eggs, cheese, etc. or sweet with butter, jam, molasses, honey, etc.

I live in Asheville, NC. My favorite breakfast around here is a local restaurant called Biscuit Head. They make the absolute best American biscuits I have ever had, plus they have a small bar with several varieties of homemade jams, jellies, and flavored butters you can put on them. The sides are other standard breakfast fare and pretty good, but the massive biscuits are the true star. Definitely recommend checking it out if you come by Asheville, but get there early to beat the crowds.

Once waited in line for an hour to even get inside the damn restaurant. Was pretty good though, definitely better than Sunny Point. Cool to see another Ashevillian on here.

don't get me wrong, I love making some home made buttermilk biscuits and I'd much rather have a over easy egg on it too. but I can't make biscuits and bread and deep fry steak in 20 minutes. I like to make biscuits and then freeze them and pull out 3-4 every couple days. then just cut them open and toast them. I wish i could find breaded steak ready to be fried as easy as finding chicken ready to be fried.
but seriously you anons need to try that country steak biscuit from hardees and add egg and cheese. it's the best
my second favorite is the normal egg mcmuffin. but that is one to be made at home with bacon instead of canadian bacon and over easy egg instead of the round egg at mickyD's

>making any sandwich with eggs over easy
Yeah, if you want to need to wash your hands and mustache after eating

For sandwiches, you want the egg still soft and moist but semi solid, no spills or minimal spill at the very least

>> No.9533097

>>9533078
no you want the egg semi solid. I don't mind keeping a damp towel or napkin nearby to wipe my stash and hands. I just love the natural sauce that an over easy egg gives

I think there are more than a couple of us around here. I recall seeing a few other anons in other threads say they're from Asheville. I'm not a local, but I've lived here for about 4 and a half years now. Great town for a cooking enthusiast what with all the great restaurants and breweries.

Well I don't make scones, but they definitely do have sugar in them, they're never used in a savoury context.

I like the Mcgriddle though cause I'm a fat fuck that enjoys killing my pancreas. That said who has the worst breakfast? Burgerking is pretty bad. Cresandwich would be good except the bun comes out kind of tough and chewy 70% of the time.

This right here my boy. When I go to mcd's I usually get this because its only 5 bucks and it has a decent spread. I usually make a biscuit sandwich with the eggs, patty and biscuit. But then there is also the pancakes which makes it epic. I also sometimes order the mcgriddle buns on the side which are only 1 buck and make a cheaper mcgriddle overall if you count all the extras.
