I guess Marmite on scones does count as good food...

Yanks pay way less for their food than us, it's probably lower quality tho

We only subsidize Bt corn and GMO soy here, for feeding to the animals in the great factories of Smithfield, Tyson, and Cargill.

Real food has to compete for land and resources with hypersubsidized animal feed, so, needless to say, it's only for wealthy elites along the coasts

This, but you forgot those welfare subsidies that go to those bastions of agriculture, the GMO HFCS corn growers. Mmmm, they should be awarded the congressional medal of freedom - they've paid our whores in congress enough to deserve it!

Whenever I see mouthbreathing troglodytes complaining about the cost of true organic agricultural products (not the scorched earth "organic" monoculture that our big-agri lobbyists wrote the USDA regulations to permit) I have to chuckle because the smaller farmers don't qualify for the subsidies.

>b-b-but us hyar cuckservatives, we dun be'in like s'porttin' dem dar small bid'ness 'n such lahk dat!

sounds like someone's an assblasted coastie living in an insanely overpriced containment city yet _STILL_ is inferior to Europe in every way!

Can't even go
>b-but muh taxes
since his insanely high cost of living nullifies that argument!

not for good food
>HFCS and other mass processed shit counts as "food"

compare good food here to good food in america
they pay out the nose for the good version of it and it's still bad

Is it true that free refills are non existent outside the US?

When I went to Mexico, they never offered free refills, but I just assumed the staff were being cunts

>go to farmers market
>buy 3 cucumbers for $1
>buy a bushel of tomatoes for 6 bucks
>apples $6 a peck
>potatoes $10 for 40lbs
>beef $4/lb
>chicken and pork $3/lb
All of it organic and locally raised.

The EU subsidizes organic, otherwise you couldn't afford it.
