Hey cu/ck/olds. The store has a sale on brisket and I've always been interested in trying my hand at it. Anyone have tips on how I should prepare it? Any favorite recipes? The weather already went to shit here so I have to make it in the oven. >inb4 smokers are better.

Brine in salt water with crushed garlic and fresh rosemary for 24 hours.

Take it out of the water and get the meat as dry as possible.

Mix.
Mustard powder
Smoked paprika.
Chilli powder
Cumin
Brown sugar
Garlic powder
Salt and pepper.

Rub the meat with the dry rub and leave it for 24 hours.

Smoke on your smoker with your choice of wood.

Serve it in some toasted brioche buns with melted blue cheese, caramelised onions and homemade red wine sauce.

Add some crushed tomatoes around this before baking for some super awesome meat. Acid in the tomato tenderises the meat and you end up with the most fall apart tender slab of meat you can imagine

I don't currently have access to a smoker, so personally I would make corned beef. It takes a week and a half, but reuben sandwiches are the tits
