How do you even stop drinking alcohol if you don't reject it mentally? I don't drink that much, and not even since a year but I'm fucking obsessed with the stuff. Before I was a drinker I was a huge smoker. As I got older weed effected me differently. You will find a lot of older former stoners who tell you weed justmakes them paranoid. I think having certain responsibilities caused me to have anxiety whenismoke mostofthetime. Instead of chilling and being happy stoned, I am focusing on the stuff that freaks me out. I said no more booze when the semester starts. Lasted a few weeks which felt nice but slowly I creep back. Started as needing to finish off what I had left since I started school, just to get it out of sight/mind. I play in a band as well so I limited myself to 1 or 2 beers when we gig, after we're done playing. Then my band mate's neighbor gives me a huge stein as a gift. Week later I go full on with a pint and 15 pack killing most of it while watching the Nam doc by Ken Burns. Had a gig in the meantime but stopped at a bar on the way home from school the other day. Now I'm at work contemplating whether I should get shit from drizly because I feel like it.

It's not even how much I drink at this point, it's the habitual nature that I can't shake. My life is going fine, haven't really damaged anything other than my body sort of and my bank account. Funny you should mention that, because that's exactly how I got started. I've always liked doing everything homemade and felt I had the aptitude for it. I started out homebrewing which forces you to develop thorough pasteurization, sanitation and cleaning practices. After that, growing shrooms isn't that much of a leap, as all of those sanitation practices just carry over.
