is this as good for you as everyone says it is?
I've literally been drinking acid for the past few weeks because of internet memeing.

probably not.

I take a shotglass full of it every morning. It helps wake me up and it feels good. I notice I get fewer insect bites when working in the garden or brush too.

I used to drink shots of balsamic vinegar during summer, just for the rich and complex palate. Got occasional heartburn tho.

I fucking love drinking vinegar. My favourite job-alcoholic beverage.

That;s strange I always drank diluted vinegar whenever I get an upset stomach.

It may have some benefits but that pic is 90% memes. Stick to lemon water. At the very least your will be getting vitamin C so you know it's doing something.

I'm using ACV to pickle some radishes at the moment.

most claims are bullshit of course, but it does seem to help a bit with weight loss and it does slow the absorption of glucose. plus vinegar is tasty and you should be adding it to more foods

don't drink vinegar straight though, you'll burn your esophagus and teeth like an idiot. people have mixed vinegar with water since forever so follow their lead. romans had their posca, persians had sekanjabin, and early american farmers had switchel

Yeah I thought that was a weird comment I find vinegar cures heart burn

You're a special kind of /sip/leton, aren't you?

I make vinegar drinks to sip on through the day
just a little vinegar in a big glass bottle filled with water and a bit of raw honey

the braggs vinegar drinks are actually delicious though. The ones I make at home are kinda gross, but theirs are like sweet apple juice but somehow have almost no sugar and calories

Weird. I do the opposite, a shot of diluted baking soda.

Drinking vinegar is often pretty cheap in Korea (maybe $3 for a big bottle that you’re going to water down by 2/3 to drink), but it’s stupid expensive when I see it at Korean import stores. Wish they’d start making/selling it in North America at mass market prices, seems like a huge market opportunity for people looking for a delicious low-calorie drink with the sort of ‘bite’ you normally only get from alcohol.

Heartburn is your oesophagus and stomach being eroded by excess acid. Vinegar is also an acid. If you add acid to acid, you get more acid and more burn. You have to neutralise acid with something alkaline, this is why Rennie and other antacid tablets are made of minty calcium carbonate. Acid plus alkaline = H2O

>>9472218
This guy gets it, baking soda ie sodium bicarbonate is alkaline.

I'm no chemist but I suffer from bad acid reflux on a regular basis and take medication for it. In extreme circumstances I've been known to swallow shampoo

I had heard it was good for gallstones when I had them - tried it as a makeshift solution before my surgery and all it did was make me more nauseated.
