No they aren't you retard they're only the same species if they can mix and produce viable offspring (eg a black person and a white person look different but are both the same species so produce viable offspring) a tomato (a berry) and a potato (a stem tuber) cannot cross polliante to create a red potato and even if they where spliced the resulting abomination would not be capable of producing offspring
So
THEY ARE NOT THE SAME SPECIES YOU FUCKING RETARD GO READ A BOOK AND STOP SPREADING BULLSHIT MISINFORMATION

However these are all nightshades but that is an enormous family with vast genetic variation

Also here's a fun fact: tomato leaves contain more nicotine than tobacco leaves

The definition of a species is pretty arbitrary actually. See bonobos and chimps which are practically identical but considered different species and the different races of humans which aren't even considered different subspecies despite a huge difference in physical traits, genetics, disease and so on. If we labeled people like we do animals there would be like 4+ different species and dozens of subspecies, pretty crazy desu

No you fool the definition of a species is when it cannot produce viable offspring with a different species if it looks different but produces fertile offspring then it's just a different race there is nothing arbitrary about that it is a solid definition
Its almost like you never went to school

Outdated definition from pre-phylogenetics era. Genetics have shown phenotypic taxonomy is frequently wrong and arbitary. Species differs on a continuum depending on the organism.
