>> No.9397348

>get a grill going hot
>put a shit load of anaheims, jalapenos, tomatillos, a few onions on there
>burn the hell out of 'em
>take skins off of peppers, peel away charred onion
>cube a pork butt
>get dutch oven heating with oil
>throw in a fuck ton of garlic, cumin, paprika, other shit that tastes good in chili
>once that toasts and the garlic is hopping throw your butt in there
>get it until sides are seared
>mince your grilled veg, throw that in there
>throw a can of tomatoes in there
>salt
>cook it for hours- if it starts looking fucked up and dessicated pour chicken broth on it

If you don't have a grill but it's autumn find the Mexican-dominated neighborhood near you- they roast chilis- buy a big bushel and freeze what you won't use that day-they're even easier to clean after freezing and defrosting.

I've never visited reddit but now I feel sad and ashamed anyway.
Sorry I messed up so bad, I just like my green chili recipe.
I shouldn't use salty language- I'll do better in the future.

I do:
Red onion/serrano(de-seeded)/roma tomato mix in olive oil with a shot of Jack and a quarter lime juice. Bottle of beer for the meat(I like something bright like a hefeweizen) , usually brats(boiled and chopped or de-cased) with chili powder, black garlic(2 cloves), cumin. Cook both until the alcohol cooks off and combine on low heat. I prep a crock pot with black beans and tomato puree and then put it all together on high for four hours and low on 2.

1-2 pounds top round steak
1 pound hot ground pork sausage
3 Poblano peppers
2 Bell peppers
6 jalapenos
4 habanero peppers
One large white onion
1-2 ears yellow corn (optional)
One small can tomatoe paste
1-2 large cans crushed tomatoes (depending on how much liquid you want)
1tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Season to taste with paprika, cumin, corriander, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

Cut steak into 1" or smaller cubes, pull apart sausage into very small pieces, Set aside.

Chop all peppers and vegetables (if using corn, cut the kernels off the ears) into small pieces. If desired, remove seeds from the hot peppers.

Mix vegetables and meat in a large bowl and let sit at least 4 hours in the fridge, but over night is better. When ready to start cooking add meat and veggies to a large pan in small batches to brown. Really get some color on that meat, it provides more flavor.

Once everything is browned put it in a slow cooker, add in canned tomatoes, spices and Worcestershire sauce. Cook 4-6 hours on low. Add additional spices at the end if desired.

Eat with corn bread.

Mix cooked or raw?

Raw. You're going to par cook it, and then cook it again in a slow cooker later, it's fine.
