I remember in one of my second year classes some autistic fat fuck manchild who walked into class playing a game boy pulled out a bento box and left it sitting there. Then during a break he opened it up and it had toquitos inside that smelled like shit, he asked the professor if there was a microwave in the room to get them heated up. Also, the counter for compartments is 'tan', not kotoba, which just means phrase.

Getting back to bentos, if you search on amazon for 'Skater Japanese Modern', there are both a single and a two tier bento that I use for lunch regularly and are fairly neutral.

An alternative - if you can't find a box that fills both your needs - would be to buy an insulated lunch bag and a waterproof box made of glass or stainless steel. If you want to be extra sure the food'll stay hot, dip the containers in boiling water before putting the food in.

This is how you get food poisoning. That warm lunch box that you've had festering for 5 hours is a breeding ground for bacteria of every kind.

They used to be called Laptop Lunch but now they're called Bentology or something goofy like that, they've got a slimmer profile with a lot of compartments. I went through a phase where I really wanted a nice lunch box and this was what I narrowed it down to, but I ended up not doing it so unfortunately I can't tell you if they're any good or not.
