I think he's a true individual who by persistence has had success. Yes, he does reek of perhaps some Asperger's, but so do you, and what have you done productive? I always have a blast watching this guy because he just seems like such a blast from the past, a person who should've been born in 1946 rather than the 90s (not sure how old he is desu). His wooden delivery has gotten better over the years, and I've always admired how he does (most) of the videos in a single take. This guy fucking reveiwed water with a straight face for over 10 minutes. As far as I'm concerned he's a sleeper hit who deserves all the praise he gets. And as for shilling, he supports himself going to college using the show, so I can forgive that.
