I found this vintage aluminum/magnesium sheet and im not sure if its safe to bake with. Its labled Dowmetal U.S.A.
I Know anons are going to tell me tha aluminium causes Alzheimer's but what about magnesium?

Magnesium is flammable. Try lighting the edge to see if it is magnesium. If it lights, I wouldn't want it in my oven anyway.

I was just worried because some places online have it listed as a serving tray. Not really sure if its for baking.

Asbestos was good enough for them. So was smoking as recommend by doctors, giving your babies seven up and aspic molds filled with shrimp and peas. You see what I'm getting at?

Absolutely. God I miss smoking on airplanes and coming home to a wife with dinner prepared a stiff drink waiting to be handed to me.

>So was smoking as recommend by doctors

I'm sick of this fucking maymay. I have several cooking and housekeeping books from the first three decades of the 20th century and ALL of them speak out in strong terms against smoking as a health hazard. There have been health concerns about tobacco for 400 fucking years among learned men and the whole "smoking is good for you and fashionable" ad campaign was started as a RESPONSE to a growing awareness of the harmful effects of tobacco in the early 20th century - some states were even considering banning tobacco entirely.
