do Portuguese people actually eat this?

>> No.9218937

Dunno, do they? Apart from those little custard tarts I can't name a single Portuguese dish.

this is a Franceschina, like a deep fried meat sandwich covered in cheese and gravy and an egg. looks absolutely terrifying

>> No.9218983

I've done some work related trips to Portugal in the past and what I noticed was while their seafood is superb, all meat dishes are shit and the meat quality there is shit.

Uma delícia

Looks pretty good to me, I don't see any government subsidised high fructose corn syrup anywhere in that picture

This looks like a heart attack on a plate. Would devour if I was really feeling like splurging. Bet it'd be delicious.

>like a deep fried meat sandwich
It's not deep fried.
It's grilled pork/cow steak in a ham, sausage, cheese sandwich that goes in the oven to finish. Fried egg and sauce on top. Fries on the side and a beer.
Tastes pretty good, just dont eat it too often or it's gonna be bad for your health. And most portuguese meat is well done, so there's that too, or maybe my parents were just poor and couldnt aford good quality meat.
