I feel like the consensus leans toward steak fries being the worst, but I think it's undeserved. The problem is it's easy to do them poorly. Well made they are crisp and wonderfully fluffy in the middle.

Crinkle cut can be good if they're crispy but fluffy on the inside.

Most of the time they're just soggy and gross, though.

The problem with waffle fries (at least at Chick-Fil-A which is the only place I get them from) is that they're really uneven in size, so some of them will be cooked right, but the bigger ones will be soggy and gross.
