She doesn't really love you, and seeks comfort in the arms of another.

YEAH BOOOOOOIIIIIII

Honestly, that looks comfy as fuck. Is your wife Korean?

To the haters: the rice and beans make are very good, and while the thought of shredded cheese might put you off, it's actually good when combined with a good soup/stew (김치찌개, 부대찌개, 닭찜(OMG!!!! YES), 된장찌개, 쇠고기무국, 북어국, 설렁탕, 매운무국, etc.).

Hater here. I see several problems:

-why is this in a frying pan? the rice looks like it's already cooked, but there's too much moisture in there for it to be a stir-fry?
-why is the rice purple?
-did the rice, beans, and peas just get dumped in there? Seems odd as they have radically different cooking times.
-yeah, the cheese is off-putting as it doesn't seem to match with any of the rest of it.

I've got no problem with any of the ingredients, but it seems like such an odd combination of flavors, and I can't help but think there was no attention paid to the cooking times of the ingredients.

Not the OP, but I will answer.
>why is this in a frying pan?
Not everyone has a rice cooker that sing "twinkle twinkle little star" or says "cuckoo" when the rice is done.
>why is the rice purple?
Koreans love purple rice. Look no further than the QUEEN of /ck/.

>did the rice, beans, and peas just get dumped in there?
No the beans are generally soaked the night prior.
> the cheese is off-putting as it doesn't seem to match with any of the rest of it.
It actually goes pretty good with a spicy stew.

You cook rice in a pot when you don't have a cooker, not a frying pan.

Your wife seems like a wonderful woman.
You must really, really love her if you thought there was something impressive about whatever this is.

Seriously, this is just rice and beans with peas and some cheddar on top.

I've lived in Louisiana all my life and while I have seen cheesy rice once or twice, 99% of the time it's used for gumbo, or mixed in to make jambalaya.

People around here prefer macaroni and cheese I find
