Loose meat sandwiches, yea or nay?

Why not just get a burger?

I like them as long they have plenty of mustard on them. Growing up, there was a Maid-Rite next to the movie theater, and we would always go get loose meat sandwiches and milk shakes after going to see a movie as kids. It was comfy.

>> No.8813801

I saw one of these on the menu called a poboy. Like what?

pulled pork, reporting for duty.

>> No.8813833

I made a steak sandwich today. Home made ciabatta buttered with compound butter consisting of sauteed shitaake mushrooms, shallots, thyme, sherry and parsley. Put in cast iron buttered side down to toast the bread. Sliced leftover steak put on top with shredded Mozz thrown under broiler to melt. Pretty delicious.

>> No.8813839

I'd prefer pulled pork over loose meat myself.

Damn that sounds pretty good.

You know what? I don't care if this is fucking bait. Fuck you for being vegan. Why did you feel the need to open a thread, type that shit, solve a captcha and hit post?

Yeah, but I need Manwich to bind it all together. I'm white trash and proud, gimme some sloppy joe now. Fuck it, melt a American single on it too, extra pickles and hot sauce.

I generally avoid dishes based on ground beef or chicken breast. Shitty, low end choices unless the cook is really good and/or the meat is sourced really well.

Fuck. Now I want a sloppy joe or two.

Yes. Always yes. If you can't handle your meat a little loose then you don't like meat.

Looking at the OP, I get it. You fucktards don't understand soft bread. You poor things, you have to have everything rock hard and stale so you can contain loose crap in it.

Yea - but I don't eat them very often. I prefer a bbq brisket sandwich or a burger to loose meat sandwiches. They aren't bad, though, it's just that there's better options.

I remember having them as a child and teen when I lived in the Upper Midwest. I enjoyed them then - sort of an improved sloppy joe. I haven't had one in 20+ years though, so I can't say if they hold up.

Yes actually. The excess testosterone present in red meats especially can aggravate violent behaviours if left unchecked.
